Newcastle’s Jono B Smith is a songwriter of rare quality, a multi‑instrumentalist who toggles effortlessly between soulful life commentaries and sordid, frivolous ditties. Often described as the best thing since eggs on toast, Jono is a fixture of the Australian touring circuit. When he isn’t fronting his solo projects, he is a sought‑after session player, having toured with the likes of Kasey Chambers, Morgan Evans and Jenny Mitchell. As a member of the acclaimed bluegrass/folk outfit Midnight Chicken, he has traversed the country multiple times, including runs alongside Brad Cox.
